We are excited to announce that the Sister Cities International Youth Leadership Summit is returning this summer, and the application deadline has been extended to March 15, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for young leaders to engage in global diplomacy, leadership development, and cultural exchange.

The summit will take place from June 15-21, 2025, in Washington, D.C., where students will have the chance to participate in hands-on activities, leadership workshops, and a Diplomacy Simulation led by the U.S. Department of State’s National Museum for American Diplomacy. Participants will also explore the nation’s capital and attend a Washington Nationals baseball game, offering a true taste of D.C. culture.

Participants will stay at American University, a prestigious institution known for its commitment to global engagement and leadership.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be between 14 and 18 years old at the time of the summit.
- Participants must be actively involved in a local Sister City Organization, whether as a member, volunteer, or program participant. Become a Denver Sister Cities International student member here.
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in citizen diplomacy and international cooperation.
- Leadership potential and a willingness to engage in meaningful discussions and activities are essential.
- Parental or guardian consent is required for students under 18 years old.
