On November 7, 2024, Denver Sister Cities hosted its Global Unity Fundraiser, an inspiring night dedicated to supporting our youth programs and global understanding. Held at Dazzle Denver, the evening brought together community leaders, supporters, volunteers, and passionate advocates for citizen diplomacy.

The funds raised during the event supports Denver youth to have the opportunity to experience cultural immersion, create lifelong connections, and develop as leaders who can make a difference in their communities.
A Celebration of Connection and Culture
It was a celebration of connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. Attendees were treated to live performances by Purnell Steen & the Five Points Ambassadors. Their captivating performance highlighted the historic ties between Denver and Brest, France, through the power of jazz.
Inspiring Stories from the Denver Young Ambassadors
The Denver Young Ambassadors were at the heart of the evening, sharing stories of their transformative experiences abroad and how these opportunities shaped their perspectives and leadership skills. Our MC, Arjun, emphasized the importance of fostering global connections and understanding through cultural exchanges.
Daniela spoke movingly about how being part of a second family in China allowed her to feel genuine love and connection, highlighting the importance of understanding and embracing different cultures. Her reflections underscored our mission: to uplift our own communities while recognizing the beauty in others.
Yaritzy, a participant in the Brest, France exchange, captivated us with her story of belonging and cultural pride. She described how her host family welcomed her as a daughter and how sharing her Mexican American heritage enriched their understanding of family values and traditions. Her journey exemplified the power of cultural exchange to foster curiosity, respect, and deeper connections among diverse communities.
Together, we are empowering courageous and capable leaders, making a difference for their community. Giving youth the opportunity to experience different cultures, create friendships and expand the skills to be leaders for their city and world. All proceeds go directly to Denver Sister Cities and scholarships for the Denver Young Ambassador program, empowering the next generation of global leaders.
