We are thrilled to announce the Global Unity Block Party on October 8th, featuring the unveiling of a remarkable new sign that celebrates Denver’s ten Sister Cities. This exciting event is powered by the Upper Downtown Neighborhood Association, Denver Sister Cities International, and the Downtown Denver Partnership, and will take place at Lawrence and 16th Street from 12 PM to 4 PM.

A Unique Sign Unveiling

At the heart of this event is the unveiling of a special, one-of-a-kind sign created by Dan Ericson, Denver’s very own "Signtologist," best known as Dunn The Street Sign Artist, in collaboration with local artist Mike Graves. This sign artfully showcases Denver’s ten Sister Cities, symbolizing the city’s international relationships and cultural connections. The sign will be displayed temporarily during the block party, offering a rare chance to see it before it finds a permanent home in Upper Downtown.

A Partnership with UpDoNa

This special event would not be possible without the partnership between Denver Sister Cities International and the Upper Downtown Neighborhood Association. Their dedication to enhancing Denver's vibrant downtown community has been instrumental in bringing the Global Unity Block Party to life. Together, we aim to create a dynamic and engaging space where locals and visitors alike can come together to celebrate the rich cultural diversity that makes our city unique. The collaboration with Upper Downtown Neighborhood Association is key in ensuring that the new Sister Cities sign will soon find a permanent home in this thriving neighborhood, further strengthening our international ties.
