Denver, CO – 3/7/24 – Denver Sister Cities is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity to travel as a delegate to Denver first Sister City Brest, France from July 5th to the 17th, 2024.
This immersive experience will transport you to Normandy countryside with green pasture and rolling hill, producing amazing cheeses and apple cider. You will discover the vibrant Celtic culture of Bretagne, the local and regional food and buttery pastry, and you will learn the history of Denver long standing relationship with our Sister City of Brest, since 1948. Along this journey Denver delegates will have a chance to:
- Engage in cultural exchange: Forge meaningful, cross-cultural connections with Brest local delegates and city officials. Learn from some unique local businesses: agricultural, maritime, and more as a special guest.
- Discover sites and coastal landscapes: Private tour and access to the iconic beaches of Normandy to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day. Visit
medieval towns and quaint fishing villages in the region. - Experience the Maritime Festival 2024 happening every four year: Be part of the festivities along the Brest Harbor featuring over 2,500 boats from around the world. Set sail and tour the beautiful Brest Bay and its islands. Enjoy the briton dances and local briton specialties, fresh fishes and seafood right from the Ocean.
