Every year, the ECDC African Community Center hosts an extraordinary event that welcomes Denver's newest refugee and immigrant community members by sharing an evening of food, friendship, and dancing. This year marks the 19th Annual Refugee First Thanksgiving, and we are thrilled the Denver Sister Cities Axum Committee is supporting a culinary highlight at the event.

Konjo Ethiopian Food

Konjo Ethiopian Food has carved a special place in the hearts of Denver residents as the only Ethiopian restaurant on the city's West Side. Co-owned by dedicated entrepreneurs, Feitien Gebre-Michael, the sister of Senaye Gebremichael Co-Chair of the Denver Sister Cities Axum Committee and Yoseph Assefa. Konjo has been serving authentic Ethiopian dishes for over five years in their charming location at the Edgewater Public Marketplace. Starting from humble beginnings with catering and a food truck, the restaurant has grown to become a staple in the community. Recently celebrating the 5th Year Anniversary!
