Honoring Black History and Community Impact

Last night, we had the incredible honor of attending the Black History Month Celebration hosted by Denver Human Rights & Community Partnerships, the HRCP Denver African American Commission, Commission for People with Disabilities and the Denver Mayor’s Office. The energy in the room was electric, filled with passionate leaders, change-makers, and community members coming together to honor the rich legacy of Black leadership, innovation, and advocacy.

Spotlighting Inspiring Organizations

Throughout the evening, we had the opportunity to connect with inspiring organizations like Denver CARES, and the Urban Leadership Foundation of Colorado—each working tirelessly to uplift and empower our communities. These organizations are making a real impact, from providing critical resources to fostering leadership and amplifying Black excellence. Their work is a testament to the strength and resilience of our city’s Black-led initiatives.

Denver Sister Cities: Representing Global Connection

We were especially proud to see our Board Member and Youth Committee Co-Chair, Alia Gant, along with many amazing Denver Sister Cities International members, representing our mission of global connection and cultural understanding with pride. Events like these remind us why we do what we do—bridging communities, building partnerships, and celebrating the diversity that makes Denver such a vibrant city.
